Guaranteeing Top of Mind Awareness in Your Market

Todays blog is going to start with a quiz. We will name 5 niches, and you name the first company you think of? Simple enough. Let’s start.

Name a phone manufacturer.

Name a fast food restaurant.

Name a DIY shop.

Name a social media platform.

Name a marketing company.

There a 90% chance that you names like Apple, McDonalds, B&Q, Instagram and Jumpstart Marketing (extra points if you did)!

We may have a bit of an advantage since you’re on our blog. For the others they all have one thing in common.

It’s called top of mind awareness, and it’s the idea of being the first name customers think of.

Despite naming some huge companies, this same concept can apply at a local level.

Even better, we’re going to tell you the No.1 way to guarantee your business achieves this:

Introducing a CTA.

If you were here for our first blog (you can read that here) we told you how big companies waste their advertising budgets on funny or relatable adverts.

They don’t compel you to do anything, and they hardly inspire action.

It’s one of our biggest red flags, because we see countless businesses doing the same and wondering why their advert hasn’t made a penny.

We don’t have millions to waste here, so we have to be a bit smarter.

CTA stands for Call To Action, and it is undoubtedly the best way to build the top of mind awareness that we spoke about at the beginning.

It’s that good we can apply it to any business. We’ll even pick a boring business to prove it.

If you’re an accountant, I hope you don’t take offense to this, but it’s your turn in the firing line.

Imagine you’ve just qualified and opened your own practice. A good start would be telling all your family and friends, running Facebook ads, you can even go old school and post leaflets through every door.

Doing all the above would be even better, but if you want to really supercharge your business, then you need to add a CTA.

How would that look?

“Download your free guide to save money on your taxes”

“Subscribe to our email list and we’ll tell you this new tax trick”

“Text us today to get a free evaluation on your business”

It gives your customer a reason to put their hand up and say “Please get in touch with me”. You’re not forcing your business on them, in fact they’re asking you to help them.

Adding a CTA to your business makes everything better. You get to reach customers who want to buy now, and those who aren’t quite ready to buy yet. You’ve done the impossible and got a list of people who are interested in accounting!

Want to see how you can implement this magic in your business?

Fill out the contact form on our website and we’ll get in touch. (Yes this is a CTA)

We won’t spam you or use any pushy sales tactics, and we only work with businesses where we are a good fit.

Bye for now,

Jamie
